At KIS we recognize, and respect the cultural, linguistic, and religious background of our students. As a culturally inclusive school, we celebrate the achievements of our young learners and promote their voice, choice, and ownership. Also, we believe that the school must be responsive to the essentials of all the children with special needs, both physical and emotional. For this purpose, we have the Student Development Service department that supports students according to their specific needs: counseling, learning, and language support. We incorporate the best international practice into our curriculum. Young learners make a positive contribution to the school culture.
Moreover, KIS is a safe learning environment - a bullying-free zone. We have shared referral forms and behavior management policy produced in cooperation with teachers. It is applied fairly and consistently by all staff. Being an inclusive and diverse school, we promote our values and believes through clubs, extra-curricular activities, assemblies, projects, and celebrations.
